If you’re going away on holiday or are out of town for a few days, we can also walk your dog in your absence in conjunction with our pet sitting visits. We cover a 10 mile radius of Knighton, Powys overlapping the borders of Shropshire and Herefordshire.
If your dog has difficulty walking too far but enjoys being outside we’ve got that covered. We can collect your dog in our van and take it to a local field, or place of your choosing. It can then have a mooch around.
Alternatively, we can bring our large dog buggy and walk them near your home. You won’t need to worry about it being too tired and not able to walk back. We have a German Shepherd who has severely deformed hind legs, so we’re experienced with disabled dogs.
If you have a very energetic dog that is always on the go it needs a good old run. We have a scooter that our dog loves to run alongside. It’s a great way of expending energy.
Before your dog joins us on its very, it will need to be assessed. This will involve a quick consultation visit to meet you and your dog. This is so we can check if we are a good match. We’ll ask about any potential issues you have during the walk. Things like pulling on the leash, reactivity towards other dogs and animals for instance.
For instance if your dog is prone to pulling a harness makes that worse. If your dog is reactive towards other dogs and animals we need to be able to prevent any potential fights. During the walk we need to be able to control the dog so the correct leash is very important. The safety of your dog, other people and their dogs and the dog walker is paramount.
Once we have completed the assessment we’ll then be able to confirm your booking.

Chief Muttmeister and business owner is Anne, and she has many years’ experience with dogs and cats and has 4 large dogs that she rescued from Egypt. Anne has owned several German Shepherds and Canaan breeds, so she has a lot of experience with larger and reactive dogs. She is also an experienced driver, having past her text first time back in 1984. Anne holds an Animal Transporter Authorisation, Type 1, licensed to transport dogs, cats and rabbits. She is also DBS checked.
